South East

The South East is one of eight key regions featured on Known as England’s Creative Coast, the South East is home to a rich variety of galleries, museums, theatre and heritage sites. Stretching from Kent to Hampshire and the Isle of Wight the region also features the beautiful countryside of the South Downs National Park and dramatic chalk cliffs at Seven Sisters and the White Cliffs of Dover.

There are world-class art galleries to discover including the Turner Contemporary in Margate and the Towner Gallery in Eastbourne. Visitors looking to explore England’s heritage will enjoy the Royal Pavillion in Brighton and Osborne House, Queen Victoria’s summer residence on the Isle of Wight. There is more history to discover at the excellent naval heritage museums in Portsmouth and Gosport plus spectacular castles at Dover, Deal and Arundel.

The South East region includes the coastlines of the counties of Kent, Brighton and East Sussex, West Sussex, Portsmouth and Gosport and the Isle of Wight and there is a separate module for each. Choose your home county or if you think you are already an expert then go for an alternative!
